Political Science

Government and politics profoundly impact all of us every day, from the laws that govern our behavior, to the quality of the water we drink and the air we breathe, to the decision of if and when to go to war. Political Science encourages students to think critically about how government works at the local, state, national, and international levels, and how we—as democratic participants—can make government work better. The study of political science prepares students for a wide range of career paths, in fields such as law, advocacy, diplomacy, and public administration locally, nationally, and internationally.
