Welcome to this exciting time in your life as you consider becoming a new college student. Choosing a college is a huge decision and we are delighted that you are considering American River College (ARC).
Because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic the ARC campus is closed and we are not currently offering tours. However, please watch the video below to enjoy a virtual tour of our campus.
Types of Tours
Prospective Student Tour
Engage in our in-depth, interactive walking tour for Prospective Students and their families who are considering American River College.
Spring 2020 Tours: January 29 - May 12

Mondays | 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. |
Tuesdays | 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. |
Wednesdays | 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. |
Thursdays | 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. |
Fridays | 9:30 a.m. |
Participants: It is possible that you will be the only participant(s) on the tour or you may be joined with other prospective students touring the campus. These tours have no more than 10 total registrants.
Tour Time: Approximately 1 hour.
- Our tours start promptly as we may have multiple tours scheduled.
Parking:
- The required Daily Permits are $2 and are dispensed from machines located in student lots.
- Participants are encouraged to park in Lot D.
- Note: Parking can prove challenging, so please plan ahead and allow sufficient time to park.

Group Tours for High Schools and Educational Programs
This comprehensive, fun, and engaging walking tour is designed for High Schools and Educational Programs that are interested in American River College.

- Group Tours are based on availability and are scheduled in the order the request is received. To request a Group Tour please click the button below and fill out the Request Form.
Tour Time: Approximately 1 ½ hours.

Parking
Bus:
- Drop-off students and chaperones in parking Lot D.
- Bus wait in south end of the Stadium Parking Lot off College Oak Drive.
Multiple Vehicles:
- The required Daily Permits are $2 and are dispensed from machines located in student lots.
- Participants park in Lot D.
- Note: Parking can prove challenging, so please plan ahead and allow sufficient time to park.
Where to meet your Tour Guides: Go to the Access Card Desk inside the Student Center.
Group Tours for Middle Schools (Grades 6th – 8th)
Introducing the college experience at a young age is a wonderful idea. This comprehensive, fun, and engaging walking tour is designed to get these students excited about college by nurturing their interests and encouraging them to imagine their future.

Participants: We request one (1) chaperone for every ten (10) students.

Self-Guided Tour
Sometimes schedules do not align and touring during a pre-scheduled time may not be possible. As we are an open campus, individual prospective students (and their families) are welcome to visit and explore. Let us know in advance when you are arriving and come by the Center for Leadership & Development in the Student Center, we will have an information packet and tour map prepared for you.
