At the regional event ARC's Doshima Iyorlu won the coveted Irene Ryan Acting and the Musical Theatre Initiative awards and Alexandria Wilson was awarded the Irene Ryan Best Partner Award. Then, at the national festival Doshima received the National Summer Intensive Scholarship, which will fund her tuition, travel, and housing for the Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre Summer Intensive program. In addition, Alexandria received the national Kingsley Colton Award for Outstanding Partner.

Doshima’s dual achievements at the regional event are the first time an ARC student has won both awards. Alexandria’s national award is also the first time an ARC student has received that recognition.“We are so thrilled for Doshima and Alexandria and immensely proud of their amazing work. Both of these competitions see hundreds of participants annually, so it is amazing to see our student artists recognized for their work and craft,” said ARC President Melanie Dixon.
