Welcome to the Los Rios Screenwriting Club
This Club is Available to All Los Rios Students
We are a group of students who provide constructive and honest feedback on your storyboards and screenplays, and then help you through the steps of getting your projects off the page and onto the screen. Whether you have your own project you’re working on, you want to learn about and discuss the creative process, or you want to help others with their films (brainstorming, writing, directing, producing, filming, lighting, costuming, acting, etc), you’re welcome to join the club!
Meeting Information
Club event dates/times vary.
We meet every wednesday from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm, and alternate between virtual (discord) meetings, and in-person meetings at American River College.
If you are unable to attend meetings in-person and would still like to participate, please let the group know so we can have you present on discord.
Club Rules
- Confidentiality - we keep all works shared within the group confidential. We do not share electronic files with people outside of the group and we do not discuss each other's projects with other people.
- Respect - we speak to each other with kindness, and empathy.
- Psychological safety - this is a safe environment. Please share your ideas, questions, and concerns freely.
- Preparedness - if you are working on anything that you would like to share with the group, please let us know in advance so we can set aside any necessary time to review the work before we meet and discuss.
- Have fun! - this is a light-hearted group. We want to support one another in our journeys, so be prepared to have a good time!
