I'm majoring in communication studies. I'm transferring to Sacramento State next fall 2018. My future career goal is to become an events coordinator.
To me, student success is a person that is able to learn new things and adapt to new environments. I believe that upon reviewing my resume, you will recognize that I am innovative, passionate, and energetic. These are strategies that I have used to become successful. Besides, I always tried my best in everything and never give up when I face difficulties.
Working as a SAGE, I realize that my work environment is really important because it will help me a lot in my future career. Likewise, the good impact from the professional working environment will help me create my own professional path. Living, studying, and also working in ARC's diverse campus, I understand and respect everyone's perspectives. It helped me to be opened to other people. As a Communication Major student, this experience has helped me improve a lot in my public speaking skills through student's panels, events, and presentations. Practice makes everything perfect.
Becoming a student leader will help students have strong working experience as a student ambassadors, strong communication skills, bilingual skills, strong leadership, and well-developed problem-solving skills. Also, planning and organizing for independent programs or events that one can apply into their life and study field. One will learn about teammates to complete tasks in an efficient manner.
Since I started working as a SAGE, I had shown my initiative, reliability, and quality of work. I've shared suggestions, initiatives with my supervisors and coworkers to make things better at work. I learned how to control my emotions and not to take things personally. I put myself out of my comfort zone to overcome my emotions, and it helped me become a stronger person.
