What Is Re-Emerging Scholars?

Re-Emerging Scholars provides meaningful support in the lives of justice-involved and formerly-incarcerated students looking to take steps toward a new path. The program supports students at any level–from the enrollment process through successful completion of education and career support.

We provide programming, support, and a safe space for formerly incarcerated and justice-impacted students, including:

  • Assistance with enrollment and financial aid
  • Community resource referrals and support
  • University connections to CSUS, UCD, and UCB programs
  • A sense of community and a place to be
  • Peer networking
  • A strong community

How to Join Re-Emerging Scholars:

  • Complete the Re-Emerging Scholars questionnaire online
  • Visit Get Started and Apply to start the enrollment process at ARC

Visit Financial Aid and Fees to learn about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and which financial aid opportunities are available to you. If you are not a US citizen, permanent resident, or eligible non-citizen, you will need to fill out the California Dream Act Application instead of the FAFSA.
