PathwayU Career Exploration
Choosing a career path and program of study in higher education can be difficult. PathwayU can help!
PathwayU is a free tool for current and prospective Los Rios students to explore where their interests, values, personality, and workplace preferences intersect with career fields and programs of study available at American River College.
Start by completing the simple PathwayU assessments and see where the results take you! If you have a student ID and password, then you can log in to PathwayU and get started today.
If you do not have a student ID or password, then we encourage you to apply to American River College today. To access PathwayU as a prospective student, create a PathwayU account using your personal email account.
In addition to the PathwayU assessment, you will have access to:
- Informative descriptions of careers, including average salaries and the knowledge, skills, and abilities relevant to a job
- Tools to help complete essential tasks, such as writing a resume and cover letter, finding networking opportunities, and preparing for job interviews
- A step-by-step journey designed to support student success at Los Rios
Eureka
Eureka also has a database with over 800 job descriptions, programs of study, and state and national colleges. You will need to use a site ID code - MZXBZOM - to set up a new account.
Jung Typology
You can also take the Jung Typology Test, which is based on the Carl Jung and Isabel Briggs Myers approach to personality. You can also drop in to take this 10-to-15-minute test at our office, or bring your results to our office and receive more information about your personality profile.
