WEAVE Confidential Advocate
About the Confidential Advocate
The WEAVE confidential advocate is a person available to confidentially support or provide information to students or employees who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, or sexual harassment.
The confidential advocate is not an employee of American River College. The confidential advocate is provided through WEAVE, Sacramento County's primary provider of crisis intervention services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
How Can the Confidential Advocate Help?
The confidential advocate is someone you can share your story with confidentially. She will not report anything to the police or Title IX officer unless you ask her to.
The confidential advocate can:
- Provide emotional support
- Provide information or referrals to on-campus or off-campus resources
- Accompany you to investigations, discipline processes, or hearings
Meet With the Confidential Advocate
Due to campus closures, services are currently available remotely via confidential email or phone: email@example.com or (916) 568-3011.
Virtual "Meet your Advocate" hours are also available Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Zoom Passcode: weave.
We cannot guarantee confidentiality during the virtual hours. However, it is an opportunity to meet the confidential advocate and schedule a confidential phone call. You do not need to use the virtual offering to schedule an appointment with the confidential advocate.
Dominique graduated from Sacramento State with Bachelor's degrees in Political Science and History. During her time as a student, Dominique worked to prevent sexual assault on campus, advocated for comprehensive health education, and promoted healthy relationships through the various internships and committees she was a part of. These experiences helped cultivate her passion for public health and social justice.
As a product of the California Community College system, Dominique is looking forward to give back as a campus resource and provide support to students, staff, and faculty. She is excited to help create safe and inclusive campus communities together throughout the Los Rios Community College District.
