The trauma of being a witness or victim of domestic violence can be complicated for children for many reasons. For example, the child’s perceptions or location to the abuse. In this class, we will be examining some of the core effects domestic violence trauma have on children- focusing on behavior at various ages, gender, types, and the chronicity of abuse.
