Beaver Cares

Basic Needs Center

American River College is pleased to introduce the Beaver Cares Basic Needs Center, located on campus in the Welcome and Support Center. We offer a wide range of services including food assistance, housing resources, and more! The Beaver Cares team believes that any barrier to success that a student is experiencing is a "basic need" and we strive to address them all in-house or by referral.

Many students face various issues. To be intentional in meeting the basic needs of our students, the Beaver Cares Program provides one central location for our students in need.

The on-campus food pantry is completely free to all students.

On-Campus Food Pantry Guidelines:

  • Must be actively enrolled at American River College for the current academic semester
  • One student per household
  • Each student can visit once a week
  • Bring a reusable bag (if able)

The food pantry is meant to provide supplemental support to a student's weekly groceries.
