Basic Needs Center
American River College is pleased to announce the first ever Basic Needs Center on Campus in the Welcome and Support Center. The Beaver Cares Basic Needs Center offers a wide range of services including Food Assistance, Housing Resources, and more! The Beaver Cares team believes that any barrier to success that a student is experiencing is a “basic need” and we strive to address them all in-house or by referral.
Many students face various issues. In order to be intentional in meeting the basic needs of our students, The Beaver Cares Program provides one central location for our students in need.
Beaver Cares covers a number of services:
These services can be viewed on the Beaver Cares webpage:

Housing Assistance
Many students experience homeless or unsafe housing conditions. To meet this need, and by the gift of gracious donors, we offer a short-term hotel voucher system and then additional support to help students secure long-term housing.
