Basic Law Enforcement Academy
The Sacramento Regional Public Safety Training Center is certified by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) to present the Regular Basic Academy in an Extended Modular Format. The Academy is designed to provide contemporary and practical classroom presentation of legal concepts, hands-on training in police tactics and weapons usage, and scenario-based learning activities.
Basic Academy Modules & Application
September 18-November 17, 2021. Deadline to submit application July 30, 2021, 1500 hours.
Upon successful completion of Module III the student will receive a Certificate of Completion and 6.75 units of lower-division elective credit and may apply as a Level III reserve duty with a participating law enforcement agency.
Applicants who have completed Module III and are returning within 1 year are required, by POST, to pass the Module III end course examination prior to admittance. This may be accomplished by submitting an application and contacting the Academy to reserve a seat for the Module III end of course exam scheduled for November 9, 2021. 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.,
Saturday 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Additional class sessions may be held on Fridays or Sundays.
