Sara Jackson is in her fourth year as Head Women's Tennis Coach at American River College. In each of her first three seasons, the team has finished in the top 3 of the competitive Big 8 North Conference. Sara came to us from UC Davis, where she was the assistant coach for the women's tennis team for 8 years. She helped the team transition from a nationally ranked NCAA Division II program to a competitive Division I team in the Big West Conference. In 2007-08, she was named the ITA Northwest Region Assistant Coach of the Year, beating out assistants from some of the best Division I programs in the country, including Stanford and Cal.

Sara's collegiate playing experience included competing at UC Davis from 1998-2001. She served as co-captain as a senior and excelled in doubles during her two seasons as an Aggie. Prior to UC Davis, she played one season at Murray State University, an NCAA Division I program in Murray, Kentucky.

Sara, a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, graduated from UC Davis in 2001 with a degree in physics. In 2005 she was selected from hundreds of coaches nationwide to attend the NCAA Women's Coaches Academy in Denver, Colorado. In 2006 she attended and graduated from the NCAA Women's Coaches Academy Dimension II in Indianapolis, Indiana. Sara completed her master's degree in kinesiology at Sacramento State in 2007 with an emphasis in sport performance.
